Botnets- What They Are and How to Tell if Your Computer is Infected

A botnet is one of the more unpleasant creations of the Internet age. Also called a “zombie army” a botnet is a network of computers which have been set up to forward Internet transactions for one of several purposes. They can include passing on spam email and viruses to shutting down internet sites that are susceptible to too much traffic.
